The Oceanage,
Fort Lauderdale.
A short portrait of the oceanfront community in Harbor Beach that Residence 256 calls home. Built in 1972 between the Atlantic and a quiet lagoon, The Oceanage is one of the most private addresses on the Fort Lauderdale coast.
The Architecture
Designed by Donald Castner, The Oceanage brings together 180 residences in two-story, cabana-style buildings set in tropical gardens. Low, open and close to the sand, the way the coast was meant to be built.
The Beach
800 feet of private oceanfront, reserved for residents. Mornings start with a few steps from the garden to the sand.
Pool, Clubhouse and Gym
A heated pool that stays warm all year, steps from the dunes, and a clubhouse with ocean views and a gym for residents.
The Lagoon
To the west lies a calm lagoon with dockage, a rare combination of beachfront and boating on one property.
Harbor Beach
The Oceanage sits on South Ocean Lane in Harbor Beach, gated and guarded around the clock. Lago Mar Resort is next door, Las Olas Boulevard and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport are close by, the Broward County Convention Center is 1.9 miles away.
